CONDUCTING

In November 2004 Giovanni Dettori conducted the choir Polifonica 10 in Teatro Dal Verme of Milan. They performed music by Orlando Di Lasso and Hans Leo Hassler.

He conducts string quintets for performances of his theater works (Platea, SucchiaManzo).

In 1998 Giovanni Dettori conducted three performances of Pergolesi's Serva Padrona in Teatro Olmetto of Milan.

GUITAR

Giovanni Dettori has developed a personal 'jazzy' and rather 'rough' technique that mixes plectrum and fingers with the right hand and legato playing with the left hand. Lately he is mainly performing with Paolo Gigliotti (piano/guitar duo) and with The Lounge Tree project.

SAMPLER

Giovanni Dettori used to perform live with his sampler, sometimes alone (Autoritratto kitsch), sometimes together with traditional instruments (in a theater version of Strauss's Enoch Arden and in improvisiation happenings), other times with an actor (La Salsiccia and other experimental pieces with Giovanni De Giorgi).
