Giovanni Dettori (1975) is an Italian composer and arranger. After getting his college degree in Musicology at Università di Pavia (focusing on Baroque and Contemporary music), he worked for Orchestra Verdi di Milano. This is the time period in which his music started to be publicly performed on a regular basis: chamber music, musical theater and arrangements for all kind of ensembles.
In the last ten years he has been active as a freelance composer, writing music for TV, cinema and theater.
His music is characterized by the rejection of dichotomies such as classical/pop or high culture/low culture, unveiling his belief that every human expression, if genuine, is worth investigating.
